MY DEAR HUBBY

What a weekend! It was a pretty good Thanksgiving. My dear hubby had to work, as usual... I guess I should just be grateful my husband has a stable job...and I appreciate the Military plus understand the military spouse support...but boy do I miss him. I am ever so grateful he is stateside with us now and won't be going anywhere ((hopefully)) for a while. And, it looks like, for the fourth Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, he will be working.

So, okay, with all those sweet things I said and the love i feel for him, can I say something here...? Okay, for being such a smart man, he will fall for just about anything. He is somewhat naive in the little email ads or magazine subscriptions, you know the ones..."Thank You for purchasing your magazine subscription, now you qualify for 62% off any other subscription plus discounts in the future..." Oh brother, guess what? He was so excited and really wanted to order more? Then he gets emails for extra saving on collectible coins but its a "limited time"... And you know what? My husband would so get sucked into that if I didn't hold the red flag over  him. He is a sweetie and one time he fell for this scam that he could get this dish set for only S&H (4.95)...but he forgot to pay attention to the 29.99 monthly payment fee... so we got charged the fee, (straight form out bank) and no pans!!! UGH! I'm sure y'all know how that turned out...LOL He got a loving scolding and is no longer allowed to make online purchases w/o The  WCO's ((wife commanding officer)) approval...LOL

Oh the lessons we learn...Okay, just one more little pick...he and I will play a game on Facebook, bejeweled together and I kick his tail...and he will actually get mad and all defensive! LOL
Sometimes I do just giggle, sometimes ignore and sometimes, dish it back...LOL Whats a HoosierGirl to do?
Oh, I will just keep showing him The Love :D

The President Visits Indiana

No matter what your party lines are, having a President visit your state is still a thrill! Mr. Obama and VP Biden are visiting Kokomo, Indiana GM Transmission plant today. Where I live we were able to hang out at a local eatery, The Dutch Cafe and wait for them to fly into our base. It was an experience that most do not get witness. My husband actually was on duty for his visit to the base. I may not agree nor care for certain practices, but he is our President after all... Our Commander In Chief and that American pride still gives you goose bumps. Hope you enjoy the photos.

Just made me an awesome tag! How cool is this?

All About Me Monday

Wow! Where to start... a whole page all about me? I follow and love http://www.casualbloggercommunity.com/2010/11/all-about-me-monday.html and I really wanted to participate... How do I sum up such a complex "me"? I guess I can start with the basics... I am a very lucky military wife with four awesome boys. I volunteer in my community as much as possible. I love watching my boys do their activities. I am addicted to Court TV shows (silly grin). I have high ambitions to be Martha Stewart and Betty Crocker but tend to fall short ;) I am addicted to Diet Mountain Dew, FaceBook and my cell phone. I am extremely directionally impaired even with a GPS. My new favorite lotion is Bath and Body Works Lemon Vanilla Summer. My all time FAVE perfume is Burberry. I have a closet habit that need to work on giving up. I love my country and first and foremost always try to put GOD first.

Whew... well, that pretty much sums it up for now... I will keep thinking though!

OH and pink is my favorite color...oh and silver...and browns...ooops, can't forget about the teals :D

GREEN MONSTER

I am officially a Green Monster of blogging! OMG! I have just looked at some awesome looking blogs! How do they turn out so cute? They are so customized and adorable! I am jealous that I am far from a creative genius! How in the world will I ever be as good? Impressive Bloggers!
So I guess I better start reading up and learning something new... Oh wow, where to start? I just use these awesome premade templates... I don't even know how to put on pictures... Okay Jane, you can do this! Any suggestions on where to start? This jealous HoosierGirl needs help :D

Like It!

Okay, so who else is addicted to the Like button on Facebook? I have been accused of abusing it lately, of course with humor from friends. Some comments you just don't need to comment on, right? I mean the "like" button will suffice... well, in some situations... Can you imagine all the other buttons that could be used? A one word like "Fabulous", or "Whatever" or "Duhhh" or "Love"! Gosh, that might even make us less commutative! That would go over real well :D

So what word you you make a Facebook button?

Boys

Well, I am officially crazy...according to my boys anyway... I like to think of it as being comfortable with who I am  but they see it differently. Why is it considered crazy when you give a girl at a gas station a dirty look for flirting with your husband... And really, is it so crazy when someone is being caddy to return the favor- but with a smile? I have decided that I may be crazy but I am just making memories for my kids to share with their kids. What seems crazy to kids, is really just moms and wives who have had enough and just get tired! We are tired of wiping off the toilet seat all the time... cleaning the spilled cereal that no one sees fall to the floor when it gets poured... The sink left dirty from shaving... The inability to NOT slam on the brakes...etc...etc... I mean we can tolerate the "normal" day to day issues...But darn it, when I am out and someone cops an attitude I am flat out just going to call for a straight jacket myself because I have had it! And yes, I may turn into the ugly green monster, but I don't care! You think your just so cute, all fresh with batting the eyes and sweet talking... all the while being a little snot to the wife! Okay, okay, this post may prove that I am crazy... Well, I prefer "colorful and passionate"! But boy do I feel better :D

It's NOVEMBER

Ahhh, November... The last month of the year where it's a cross between Indian Summer, Fall and Winter. The warmth of the sun, the crinkling of the leaves and the cold night air.. And... My birthday... Not quite the big 4-0, but not too far from it... Trying to prepare for that glorious day. Won't be the same, instead of the firsts from being little, it will be firsts without mom. The first Mothers Day was hard, my first surgery without her, Josh's birthday and next my birthday...then Thanksgiving and Christmas... Not to mention the other boys' birthdays. So, all these events coming up without my mama... I know she's here with us. I can feel her presence at times... Maybe, maybe not, but I'd like to think what she said she'd do she is... and that's letting me know she's around...

I love and miss you so much mom!
